Firearms may be shipped via UPS and FedEx ONLY between FFL licensees (dealers, manufacturers, importers, collectors of curios and relics). Long guns may be legally shipped via US Postal Service from private individuals to FFL licensees. Handguns are NOT mailable via USPS by private individuals (non-licensees) under any circumstances.
Handguns may be shipped between FFL licensees via UPS or FedEx, and both require handguns to be shipped overnight. Handguns may be shipped via USPS only between FFL licensees. It is a violation of federal postal regulations for a non-licensed person to mail a handgun. The only exception to this regulation is for official law enforcement agencies.
We recommend that you contact your local FFL dealer to ship your firearm to us and receive it from us when the work is completed. Please note that transfer fees may apply. Please also note that the shipper will need to examine the firearm, so it should not be fully packed and sealed in the box when you take it to them. They should include a copy of their FFL with the shipment. A copy of our FFL may be downloaded from this website.
When shipping a firearm to us for work, please include a note with your full contact information (name, physical address, telephone number and email address) and a description of the work you want done. Firearms should be packed securely so they cannot move around within the container.
When using UPS or FedEx, please ship to our physical address: 276 E. State St., West Mansfield, OH 43358.
When using USPS, please ship to our mailing address: PO Box 105, West Mansfield, OH 43358 (we pick up packages at the post office every day).
Prices in our price sheets DO NOT include return shipping. Return shipping for long guns in packages not exceeding 48″ in length is nominally $40.00. There is an additional fee for packages longer than 48″. Unless advised otherwise, guns being returned are insured for a maximum of $500.00. Additional insurance is available at a cost of approximately $2.00 per $100.00 of insured value.
Return shipping for handguns via USPS Priority Mail is nominally $25.00. UPS Next Day Air can only be quoted when we know the shipping address, weight of the package and the amount of insurance desired.
Please note that return shipping costs are estimates and subject to change based upon individual circumstances, such as additional insurance and shipper fees for Adult Signature Required, Direct Delivery Only, etc.
